US Streams End January 12

Starting January 12, Vinyl Voyage will be blocked in the United States. This is due to the fact that the United States no longer has blanket royalty rates specific to small micro broadcasters. Although we are located in Canada and pay royalties through SOCAN (The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) the royalties collection agency in the United States called #SoundExchange is currently threatening companies providing radio streams from other countries. In response, these companies, including the Vinyl Voyage hostiing company, Torontocast, has no option but to block streams to the United States. For US listeners, this will have a snowball effect, limiting choice and options for consumers. We are working on alternatives. But, for now, the Vinyl Voyage will be blocked in the United States.
