Vinyl Voyage Radio

Have you seen the new Beatles documentary, Get Back ? Thats' how I spent the last weekend: taking a trip back to a month in 1969.  I remember seeing Let it Be when I was in high school; we rented it on VHS.  That movie was sad and depressing. This one is a joy to watch. My friend, and singer-songwriter Tom Flannery summarizes this film so well. Read his take here . For the Song of the Week, we are putting this album on the platter for a track that was recorded on the roof of Apple Studios. Which one? Take a listen at 11am/11pm, Eastern.

It was a hard weekend, with the news coming out of Charlottesville. As usual, I turn to music and placed a 1970 album on the platter from Aretha Franklin. Her cover of "Let It Be" moved me. This is the Vinyl Voyage Song of the Week . Listen to this song at 10 am and 10 pm, Central TODAY and throughout the week on Vinyl Voyage Radio.
