View this post on Instagram I was introduced to Everything But the Girl by my friend @tinagaskll while in college, and this band quickly became one of my favorites. EBTG was a duo made up of @traceythorn and @benwatt - their music spanned all sorts of genres: acoustic pop, traditional pop, electronic pop and even swing (“Baby, the Stars Shine Bright” a spectacular album released in 1985)- This album is one of my all-time favorite albums. I never grow tired of listening to it. Released in 1988, Idlewild does not have a bad song. Listen to “Shadow on a Harvest Moon” for this week’s “Song of the Week,” played on original vinyl at 11am and 11pm (Eastern) on Wednesday, October 16 and then at various times throughout the week.
