"New York State of Mind" the SOTW
This week we are spinning "New York State of Mind" from Billy Joel's 1976 album, Turnstiles.
Just like all of the Song of the Weeks we have done at Vinyl Voyage Radio, I uploaded a video to Youtube of the song playing on vinyl. The videos are usually flagged for copyright violations, but are usually just monetized by the copyright holder. Not this one. This video was blocked in 239 countries!
As far as I can tell, that's most countries int he world. The only other video to get this Youtube treatment was "A Day in the Life." That video was blocked in "all countries."
If you can, watch it below.
The Song of the Week can be heard on Vinyl Voyage Radio on Wednesday, 10 am and 10 pm (Central) and then throughout the week.
